Healthcare professionals in Petaluma now have a more efficient way to maintain their life-saving credentials. The traditional classroom model for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) often clashes with the demanding schedules of medical staff. Safety Training Seminars at 921 Transport Way, Suite 30, addresses this challenge directly with their new CPR Verification Station™ learning center.
This facility utilizes the American Heart Association’s Self-Guided Learning™ approach. This method allows you to complete cognitive training online at your own pace and verify your psychomotor skills independently at a local station. You receive your official American Heart Association Course Completion eCard immediately upon successful completion.
Time is a resource healthcare providers cannot afford to waste. The American Heart Association developed HeartCode® Complete courses to solve the logistical hurdles of traditional training. Unlike instructor-led classroom learning, which requires you to block out several hours on a fixed day, Self-Guided Learning splits the process into two manageable parts:
This is not the same as the Resuscitation Quality Improvement® (RQI®) program. RQI is a low-dose, high-frequency model used primarily within hospitals for quarterly check-ins. HeartCode Complete is a course-based model designed for initial or renewal training that results in a standard two-year provider card.
The first step of your training happens wherever you have an internet connection. You will access the cognitive portion of your BLS, ACLS, or PALS course through a compatible device like a laptop or tablet.
This is not a static slide deck. The online activity uses True Adaptive™ learning technology powered by Area9 Lyceum. This system respects your existing knowledge. It continuously assesses your proficiency and confidence levels in real-time. If you demonstrate mastery of a specific algorithm or concept, the program moves you forward. If you struggle with a topic, the system adapts, providing additional instruction and practice until you understand it.
This personalized learning pathway is highly efficient. You spend time only on what you need to learn, rather than sitting through lectures on material you already know. Once you complete the online portion, you are ready for the hands-on component.
After finishing the online modules, you must visit the Petaluma office at 921 Transport Way, Suite 30 to complete your skills verification. This is where the technology truly shines.
The CPR Verification Station learning center is a voice-assisted manikin system connected to a computer. It provides a self-guided skills session without the need for a human instructor to watch over your shoulder.
The CPR Verification Station is designed to cater to individuals with different learning styles. With customizable settings, you can choose the voice prompts and feedback level that best suits your needs.
At the end of the skills session, you will receive a detailed evaluation report showcasing your performance in various areas such as hand positioning, depth and rate of compressions, and more. This report can also be shared with employers or other organizations as proof of completing CPR training.
One of the main benefits of this system is objectivity. In a human-led class, feedback can be subjective or delayed. The CPR Verification Station learning center uses advanced sensors to measure your performance against American Heart Association guidelines with precision.
As you perform compressions and ventilations, the system gives you real-time audiovisual feedback. You will know instantly if your compression depth is correct, if your recoil is full, and if your ventilation volume is adequate. This immediate loop allows you to adjust your technique on the fly, ensuring high-quality CPR performance.
Performance anxiety is common during instructor-led skills tests. The self-guided nature of the CPR Verification Station learning center removes this pressure. You are the only one in the “room” with the manikin.
You can practice the skills as many times as necessary. If you do not pass a specific segment, the system provides targeted feedback on what went wrong, and you simply try again. You repeat the practice until you achieve mastery. This ensures that every professional who earns their eCard has objectively demonstrated the competence required to save a life.
This course is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. The Self-Guided Learning format covers the components of high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, the AHA Chain of Survival, and the use of an AED. It is ideal for nurses, doctors, EMTs, and other healthcare professionals.
The PALS course prepares healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in pediatric patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest. The adaptive learning modules simulate pediatric emergencies to reinforce a systematic approach to pediatric assessment.

I like the quiet room and free cpr bag I experienced great customer servicePosted on Diane DemsherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Renewal course completed with ease. Help was always available with frequent text and emails which I didn't need but appreciated.Posted on Craig HamleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Testing is straightforward and fast. Precious users left the computers signed on and could have had personal information stolen. If someone doesn't log out of their account the computer should log them out automatically a certain number of minutes after their scheduled time has expired. Also the room was stuffy and uncomfortably warm to be doing chest compressions.Posted on Daniel EsquivelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. BikiniPosted on MaryEllen KingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paid $10 for laminated card and never received. Emailed and called and spoke to ‘someone’ who said it would be sent. It’s been three weeks and still no card. Don’t waste the money. Horrible customer servicePosted on Christina RhotenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I think it was fine, but coming into a room alone, the instructor being on the computer wasn't loud & was semi rude so I dont believe I'd recommend nor take this class again.Posted on Peace & NamasteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The class was fine, instructor clear and nice, it was interesting in the digital age where you go into a room with the CPR dummies and the teacher connects with you via zoom. I didn’t give 5 stars because scheduling the class was aggravating and difficult, and i’m still waiting on my $40 reimbursement, which didn’t come like they said it would…. 1) I needed adult cpr ($89) and selected it, at the bottom of the screen they offered a $40 upgrade to include infant cpr. When i selected it, they sent me only the pediatric one! I was no longer in the adult one. So i had to call a few times to have it reversed. I’m STILL waiting in reimbursement for the $40. The rep said she would email me confirmation the next day…no email. 2) The person on the phone was nice but kept talking over me. Each time I spoke, that is when she would start talking. I don’t know what that is about but it seems to be some tactic of here, i dunno. So it took much longer to simply get it reversed so I can get the needed Adult CPR class. 3) She also said ther wasn’t a video to watch for Adult cpr when the ad said there was, even after telling her several times I’m reading that there is an at home portion. Finally I said it’s ridiculous that someone would send me to a CPR skills class and tell me nothing about CPR beforehand, when it says in their ad that there is an online/at home portion to complete before the class begins & I would like to speak to her manager. That is when she said there is a video to watch. OMG, Sooo aggravating. 4) Plus, even though I registered early, it took the until the end of the workday to send me the link to watch the videos at home, which was difficult since i couldn’t start into 8pm. I had the skills test the next day and had to work, so this was a challenge. The class itself was sort of fun and fairly easy and positive. The class was a 5 stars, but the hassle to book it was a 2 stars, so I will give a GENEROUS 4 stars. Frankly, I wasn’t going to leave a review so as not to complain, at but they keep asking for one. so here it is.
